My backstory

Growing up in Munich with Greek roots, I navigated two cultures seamlessly, attending Greek school and becoming bilingual from an early age. My love for Mathematics was clear—it was my strongest subject—but I found its rigidity limiting. This passion for logic and problem-solving eventually led me to pursue a BA in Business Administration, though it felt overly theoretical.

Deciding on an MA took time, but I was drawn to high-ranking universities and intriguing programs. Ultimately, I chose to study Finance in Lisbon. It turned out to be the best experience of my life. The environment was diverse, vibrant, and tight-knit—my classmates became like family, and I thrived academically and personally.

Returning to Munich in the summer, I met the team at Ananda, and the atmosphere was enough to know that this was where I wanted to start my career. Here, I’m involved in many aspects, which keeps every day interesting.

My passion

People. It was the team at Ananda that drew me in, and the social impact aspect that continues to inspire me—whether it’s in education, supporting children, or helping patients. I’ve always been the one friends turn to for help or guidance, and working here aligns with that intrinsic motivation.

Family is essential to me, as my grandparents played a significant role in raising me, instilling values that shaped who I am. My parents and brother are a huge part of my life, and spending time with friends is a priority—whether it’s exploring new places or going out locally. I love to travel, even for quick weekend trips, and Lisbon remains my favourite city.

If I weren’t working in finance, I’d be involved in education, perhaps guiding young or older individuals to find their ideal careers. I already do this informally for friends, as working in finance sometimes lacks the immediate feedback I crave.

I started attending festivals in Portugal and quickly became a festival lover. Whenever I can, I carve out time for solo workouts, which are my moments for self-reflection and recharging. Living away from home, I stay connected to my roots through Greek traditions, whether tasting traditional dishes, speaking Greek with my family, or visiting Greece as often as possible. Even though I miss Greece, I wouldn’t trade Munich for anything—I love my city and its beautiful nature.
